Dear DaiMao Lovers,

The admins of the DaiMao Fanfic Archive proudly present our first event: The DaiMao Christmas/New Year’s fanfic event!

The challenge: write and submit a Christmas or New Year’s themed DaiMao fanfic that is going to be published by us here in the archive

The event rules:

1. Dates and times:

►sign up period: Nov. 1st – 15^th 2015

►drop out deadline if you signed up, but have changed your mind about participating: Nov 25^th

►submission deadline for your stories: December 15^th

2. Regarding Sign ups and the submission of fics:

How do I sign up?: send an email to thedaimaofanficarchive@outlook.com using the following template

►Subject line: The DaiMao Holiday Fanfic Event

►message: I wish to sign up for the event

► name:

► pen name:

How do I submit my story?:
send an email to thedaimaofanficarchive@outlook.com anytime between the end of the sign up period and the story submission deadline
Please use the following template:

►Subject: DaiMao Holiday Fic Event

Body:

►name: name of the author.

►title: the title of your fanfiction

► genre: indicate the genre of your fanfiction

►additional pairings: if there are any. If there are none, leave blank.

►rating: use one of the following: G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17

►word count: minimum 500 words

►warnings: if there are any. If there are none, leave blank.

►summary: brief summary of what your story is about. At least a one sentence description.

►author's notes: If you use one of our story prompts, please indicate it here

NOTE: The file of your fic(.txt, .docx, .rtf or any extension that can be opened) should be attached, not copied/pasted to the email.
The story file you submit should also be already formatted (italics, heavytyped passages etc.)

3. Regarding the fanfics themselves:

What can I write?:
You can write a story based on your own original ideas or you can use one of the story prompts we provided for this event.

Is there a minimum word count?: Yes, there is. The minimum word-count is 500 words

Is there a maximum length for my story: No, there isn’t.

What kind of stories can I submit?:

►You can submit one-shots or chaptered stories as long as they are complete. Incomplete, chaptered stories won’t be accepted.

►Your fanfic has to be new story, meaning that you can’t submit anything you have already published on other fanfic sites, your blogs, Facebook etc.

►Your fanfic should be written and submitted in English. If English is not your native language, you have the option of submitting a second version of your story written in your native language in addition to the English version.

I have never written a fanfic and no experience in creative writing, can I still participate?
Yes, you can. This archive welcomes experienced fanfic writers and newcomers alike. As the old saying goes "the more the merrier"!!!!

You have no experience in writing fanfic and would like try your hand at writing a story for this event, but you have no idea how to go about it???

We really hope that with your participation, we can all create a treasure chest full of DaiMao fanfictions for everybody to enjoy.
After all, who doesn’t love to read stories about that wonderful couple???
